The Usual

Terms, plainly

The Usual creates household meal plans from information you provide. Please understand the limits of generated recipes and allergen checks before you use them.

Plans are generated and checked by AI

Meal plans and recipes are generated by AI and checked by separate AI recipe reviews. No person reviews a plan before it is shown or emailed. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your household, so review each recipe before using it.

Allergies and food safety

Recipe checks cannot guarantee that a meal is safe for anyone. They may miss an ingredient, an ingredient alias, a product change, or cross-contact. You must check the current product labels and packaging for every ingredient before buying or preparing a meal. Do not rely on The Usual to decide whether food is safe for you.

Not medical advice

The Usual is a meal-planning tool, not a medical service. Its recipes and suggestions are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk with a qualified clinician about allergies, health conditions, nutrition, or other medical questions.

Your household’s choices

Use your own judgment about whether a recipe fits your needs. You can stop using a private household link at any time and delete its saved household information from that page, including meal feedback and learned preferences.
